Jackie Feldman est né à New York en 1956. Il est chargé d’enseignement en anthropologie à l’université Ben Gourion du Neguev, et dirige le Rabb Center for Holocaust Studies. Ses recherches portent sur les pèlerinages, le tourisme et la mémoire collective. Il a publié différents articles, les plus importants dans Anthropological Journal in European Cultures (New-York/Oxford, Berghahn Press), et dans History and Memory (Indiana University Press). Il est auteur de Between the Death Pits and the Flag : Youth Voyages to Holocaust Poland and the Performance of Israeli National Identity (New York, Berghahn Press, 2010).
